Location and Facilities

​​​St Peter Claver College is located on a 14-hectare site that preserves a natural bushland environment and offers plenty of space for modern facilities and growth​. The main entrance to the College is located at 10 Old Ipswich Road in the eastern Ipswich suburb of Riverview. The College is well-serviced by public transport and a fleet of eight buses.

 

Facilities

In 2017 we launched our carefully considered Master Plan for the development of new and upgraded College facilities. Key areas of development include the extension and inclosing of the Multi-Purpose Centre, new Performing Arts Centre, new Industrial Design and Technology Centre and new Science Centre.

Our current modern facilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Library, eLearning Hub and Seminar Rooms.
  • Va Pasifika (Multi-Purpose Centre).
  • Performing Arts Centre for Dance, Drama and Music.
  • Film and Media Labs.
  • Visual Arts Centre.
  • Five Science Labs.
  • Trade Training Centre.
  • Food and Textile Design Block.
  • Industry Standard Hospitality Kitchen and Restaurant.

Getting Here

Train: The Dinmore train station is located a short 12-minute walk from the College.

Bus: Our College buses​ are operated by Logan Coaches. Students use their Student ID cards in a similar fashion to Translink go cards – students tap their card upon entry and exit of their bus. Bus passes are sold as Annual or Term Passes.

Please note:

  • Students are required to be at their stop approximately five minutes before the designated timetable arrival.
  • Students are expected to hail the bus for pick up.
  • The College buses will run from the first day of school in January (drivers' are aware that the students will not have their ID card​s until the end of the first week).
