Cupcakes, biscuits, pancakes, slices and fudges were just some of the delicious baked goods and treats on sale as part of this year's Annual Bake Sale.
On Wednesday 3 March 2021 students from all year levels and all Houses turned out in droves to support the charity fundraiser, despite the questionable weather.
An incredible $2691.15 was raised for Caritas Australia's Project Compassion appeal.
Assistant Principal Religious Education Angela Ryan said this year's Project Compassion theme tied in well with the idea of the Bake Sale.
“As a community we are aspiring to be more through our Lenten commitments and our generosity in helping others, instead of having more. The fact that our community was able to raise more than $2500 in just two lunchtimes is a testament to the generosity of our community and our commitment to being more. To put it into perspective, $2500 can give a Rohingya family of seven, safe and temporary housing in a Bangladesh refugee camp" she said.
A big thank you must go to everyone who helped organise the Annual Bake Sale – Student Leaders and staff – and to everyone who came along and bought something for a good cause.
