House spirit was on full display from both students and teachers as Claver converged on Limestone Park for the much-anticipated Inter-House Athletics Carnival.
The delightful winter's day saw students from all houses – Chisholm, Fisher, More and Xavier – and all year levels take part in track and field events. Some where in it for the win and personal bests while others were in it for the fun and House spirit.
Everyone also took part in the time old traditions of dressing in House colours and war-cries to earn additional House points.
In the end it was Fisher House that walked away with the winner's trophy, and their second Inter-House Carnival win this year.
Program Leader – Sport, Sarah Cassin said it was great to see the College back at Limestone Park.
“After the cancellation of last year's Athletics Carnival due to COVID-19, it was fantastic to see our students competing in track and field events again," she said.
“Many records and personal bests were broken with one particular highlight that grabbed the crowd's attention – Sophie Wilkins recording a PD in 16 Years High Jump.
“Congratulations to Fisher House who have now made it two out of two taking home wins for both the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals this year."
