Girls Rugby League

On the 24 May 2017 , St Peter Claver took four teams of excited female students to play in the Karyn Murphy Cup- Girls Rugby League Carnival. Girls Rugby League is the fastest growing area in Rugby League with more and more opportunities being provided by the NRL development team each year.

St Peter Claver entered a variety of teams ranging from Under 13s to Opens and they played against schools from both Met West and Met East regions. On the day, the female students from our College played with great sportsmanship, skill and determination. They were able to enjoy a sport that they have often spectated but have not had the opportunity to play. All of the girls finished the day with smiles on their faces and were extremely proud of their efforts.

Congratulations to the Open Girls side that was coached by some of our Senior students. They have won their way through to the next round as the Met West representatives.
