Cupcakes, biscuits, slices, fudges, rocky road and popcorn were just some of the delicious baked goods and treats on sale as part of this year's annual Inter-House Bake Sale.
On Wednesday 8 March 2023 students from all year levels and Houses turned out in droves to support the charity fundraiser, with Fisher House declared the overall winner.
An incredible $3421.05 was raised for Caritas Australia's Project Compassion Lent appeal.
Project Compassion raises much needed funds to help alleviate poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity in the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in the world.
Assistant Principal Religious Education Angela Ryan said it was great to see our students showing such strong support for the Bake Sale.
“Even though we have lots of fun with the House competition the real winner is Caritas," she said.
“Every time we do something for someone else we increase our sense of connection and wellbeing. We could say that everyone is a winner when we work together to support such a life affirming organisation."
A big thank you must go to everyone who helped organise the Inter-House Bake Sale. Thank you to all families who baked and donated. You all made the Bake Sale a wonderful community event.
