Principal's Welcome

A high-quality, empowering education – grounded in faith and community.

Welcome to St Peter Claver College. We are a Catholic community of learning where every young person is known, valued and encouraged to grow – academically, socially and spiritually. Our College is a place of belonging that celebrates the uniqueness of each student, embraces all in the spirit of the Gospel, and calls us to live out our College motto of Concern, Love and Justice.

We take great pride in knowing each student well and partnering with families to support every learner to achieve their personal academic best. Through high-quality, targeted teaching, a strong range of subjects and multiple pathways of study, our students are equipped with the skills, confidence and resilience they need for life beyond school.

Our Pastoral Care program honours the dignity of each young person and supports their wellbeing and sense of purpose. Students are guided through a targeted, age-appropriate formation program that is responsive to their social, emotional and developmental needs – so they can flourish in a safe, respectful and supportive environment.

We are committed to providing opportunities beyond the classroom, where students can explore their interests, discover their gifts and share their passions. These include Sport (Rugby League, Netball, Futsal, Basketball, Football, Touch Football and Volleyball), The Arts (Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Art and Media), as well as eSports and Debating.

Our students learn in high-quality, contemporary facilities that support creativity, collaboration and practical learning, including our Performing Arts Centre, Industrial Arts Centre, Trade Training Centre and Va Pasifika Centre.
St Peter Claver College draws students from more than 40 primary feeder schools, creating a diverse and culturally rich community. With students from more than 25 cultures, we are strengthened by the stories, languages and traditions that shape who we are – and we are committed to ensuring every family feels welcome and included.

Inspired by our faith, students are invited to act with Concern, Love and Justice. Through spiritually enriching experiences and opportunities for service, they are encouraged to deepen their sense of meaning and purpose, and to make a positive difference in our world.

As a Catholic College, we take inspiration from the teachings of Jesus, the witness of St Peter Claver, the Marist charism of St Marcellin Champagnat, and Mary Our Good Mother. Together, we strive to be a community where every student is known, supported and empowered to grow.
