On the evening of Friday 31 July 2026, we raised our glasses and said ‘Cheers to 50 Years’ of Claver.
180 guests, including current and former staff, past students, Claver community members, current families, former Principals and other special guests gathered at Brothers Leagues Club in Ipswich to celebrate this significant milestone.
Principal Charles Brauer opened proceedings with an official welcome, a shout out to some VIP guests and some words about personally getting to know the Claver community in his first eight months as Principal.
“It is special occasions like this that bring us all together and allow us to recognise the giants of Claver whose shoulders we stand on, many of whom join us tonight,” he said.
In true Claver fashion, the room hummed with conversation and laughter, hugs were plentiful, and the spirit of Concern, Love and Justice that has defined Claver for the past five decades was evident.
Stories were shared; friendships rekindled; achievements and milestones celebrated; and a birthday cake was cut by our former Principals, with Founding Principal Bob Cullen taking centre stage.
