It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce Claver’s 2026 Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) Excellence Awards nominees. Out of 633 nominees across 116 schools, St Peter Claver College is proud to have 17 staff members who have been nominated for these prestigious awards. The St Peter Claver College nominees are:

Excellence in Learning and Teaching in Secondary School Award (sponsored by NGS Super):

  • Jason Nash – Program Leader – Co-curricular Arts and Activities.

Excellence in Learning and Teaching by a School Team Award (sponsored by the Archdiocesan Development Fund):

Inclusive Education Case Management Team:

  • Kerri-Lee Davies – Curriculum Leader – Inclusive Education.
  • Bridget Cunninghame – Support Teacher Inclusive Education.
  • Toni Clews – Support Teacher Inclusive Education.
  • Lisa Ferguson - Support Teacher Inclusive Education.
  • Nicole Hauser – Support Teacher Inclusive Education.
  • Sharon Jones – Support Teacher Inclusive Education.
  • Jacob Kavali – Support Teacher Inclusive Education.
  • Tayla Thurlow – Support Teacher Inclusive Education.

Excellence as an Early Career Teacher in Secondary School Award (<5 years) (sponsored by the Australian Catholic University):

  • Isabella Armstrong – Early Career Teacher.

Excellence in Championing Student Voice Award (sponsored by Maximus):

Cultural Night Team:

  • Angela Ryan – Assistant Principal Identity and Formation.
  • Alice Dwyer – Campus Minister.
  • Gloria Wilson – First Nations Liaison School Officer.
  • Adrian Wilkinson – Assistant Principal Administration.

Excellence in a School Based Non-Teaching Role Award (sponsored by Archdiocesan Property and Building Services):

Marketing and Communications Team:

  • Linden Dale – Marketing and Communications School Officer.
  • Julie Smith – Marketing and Communications School Officer.

These awards celebrate BCE staff who demonstrate their commitment to achieving BCE’s vision of being a faith filled learning community creating a better future. Nominated staff members are celebrated for their contribution to creating a vibrant community that delivers exceptional educational outcomes, fosters a sense of belonging, and inspires excellence.


These awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of staff across BCE and shine a spotlight on the impactful and innovative work taking place in our schools. Claver’s nominees exemplify the values that shape our community, creating spaces where belonging, growth and excellence flourish. Their nominations are a testament not only to their individual contributions but also to the vibrant culture of excellence that defines St Peter Claver College.


This is just a small representation of our dedicated Claver staff, who work together to ensure our students not only excel academically but also grow into outstanding members of the community. Congratulations to all.
