On Wednesday 7 October 2026, we celebrated the giftedness and creativity of our Co-curricular Arts students; the successful season of our Debating teams; the hard work of our Year 12 School-Based Traineeship and Apprenticeship students; and the numerous successes and achievements across our sporting community.
The special Awards Assembly was attended by parents/caregivers and families and saw some 150 students recognised for their ongoing efforts and commitment to their co-curricular passions throughout the year.
The awards presented were:
ARTS:
- Exceptional Arts Leadership Awards: Presented to all the 2026 Co-curricular Arts Captains.
- Exceptional Service to the Arts Awards: Presented to students for exceptional service to the College in the Co-curricular Arts areas of Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Art.
DEBATING:
- Debating Excellence Certificates: Presented to students who debated in the Queensland Debating Union competition.
- Debating Valour Award: Presented to the student who shows extraordinary courage in debating.
- Debating Service Award: Presented to the Debating Captain for their service to debating.
VET:
- Vocational Education Award: Presented to Year 12 students who have completed a School-Based Traineeship or Apprenticeship while balancing their senior studies.
SPORT:
- CISSSA Premiership winners: Presented to the Basketball, Football, Futsal and Netball teams that won their CISSSA premierships.
- Metropolitan Premiers: Presented to the Football, Futsal and Netball teams that won their Metropolitan premierships.
- Metropolitan West Representatives: Presented to students who represented Metropolitan West in their chosen sport.
- South West and Queensland Representatives: Presented to students who represented South West and Queensland in their chosen sport.
We also congratulate our 2026 Junior and Senior Sportswomen and Sportsmen of the Year:
- Junior Sportswoman of the Year: Mia Vince.
- Junior Sportsman of the Year: Payson Faapo.
- Senior Sportswoman of the Year: Mya Smythe.
- Senior Sportsman of the Year: Noah Jonker.
