In his Dux Address to the College George thanked his parents, family, teachers and peers for all their support during his high school journey.
Principal Charles Brauer congratulated all award recipients in his Principal’s Address.
“It is incredible to witness these 396 stories of achievement, improvement and growth and you should all be very proud,” he said.
Keeping with the story analogy Mr Brauer also said: “Every good hero story, be it a book, a movie, a tv-series, a podcast, begins with curiosity, a spark or a call to do something. The next part of the story is a ‘yes’, a decision to act and to believe ‘I can do this!’ The best hero stories explore the challenges, the struggles and the moments of self-doubt, followed by the decision to keep going, seeking and accepting help from another. This help, combined with working through the struggle, gets the hero over the line.”
“We are all in control of how we write our stories and I look forward to joining with our staff in supporting you and seeing what your next chapters look like.”
