As we embark upon our 50th year of Concern, Love and Justice, we are reminded that the new school year brings with it excitement of new prospects, the exhilaration of new experiences, and new friendships.
The fresh faces of our eager Year 7s (the Graduating Class of 2031) were warmly welcomed on Wednesday 28 January 2026 with a Guard of Honour by our Year 12 students before attending their first Year Level Assembly.
Our new students in Years 8 to 12 quickly learnt the ropes and are ready to leave a lasting legacy at Claver and achieve their individual goals.
Our dedicated and motivated staff are all looking to embrace the College’s motto of Concern, Love and Justice and to enliven and enrich the Claver community.
One new face that is “proud and humbled” to be the new Principal at St Peter Claver College is Mr Charles Brauer.
Mr Brauer joins Claver from Marist College Ashgrove, has been a teacher since 2003 and has a background in teaching Biology, Health and Physical Education, Mathematics and Religious Education.
“When building my understanding of Claver ahead of applying for this Principalship, a clear strength of the Claver community was its commitment to ensuring each student is known, celebrated for their uniqueness and encouraged towards excellence,” said Mr Brauer.
“I’m really looking forward to getting to know you all as you get to know me. Because the most important thing is knowing each other, our talents, our hopes and what makes us, us,” he said.
There is much to look forward to and celebrate as a Claver community in 2026. Most significantly is our 50th Anniversary of providing a proud and quality Catholic education for young people. We look forward to sharing this with our students, staff, parents, caregivers, alumni, friends and community members.
