Claver’s 2025 BCE Excellence Awards Nominees Are …

It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce Claver's 2025 BCE Excellence Awards nominees. Out of 479 nominees across 108 schools, Claver has 14 staff members who have been nominated for these prestigious awards. The St Peter Claver College nominees are:


The ACU Award for Excellence as an Early Career Teacher in Secondary School:

  • Sofia Herrick-Egerton.

The ADF Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching by a School Team:

  • Claver NAPLAN Team – Sally Waite, Stew Duff, Alex Daley, Amy Fatialofa and Maxine Connah.

The BCE Award for Excellence in a School Based Non-Teaching Role:

  • Colleen Wood.
  • Claver Marketing and Communications Team – Linden Dale, Julie Smith.

The Catholic School Parents QLD Award for Excellence in Family Engagement in Learning and Wellbeing:

  • Daniel Meehan.

The NGS Super Award for Excellence in Learning and Teaching in Secondary School:

  • Charmaine Chambers.
  • Jason Cripps.
  • James Danaher.

The TUH Award for Excellence in Safety and Wellbeing:

  • Cherie Smith.


These awards celebrate BCE staff that have demonstrated their commitment to achieving BCE's vision of being a faith-filled learning community creating a better future. Nominated staff members are celebrated for their contribution to creating a vibrant community that delivers exceptional education outcomes, fosters a sense of belonging, and inspires excellence.

Principal Bruce McPhee said: “We are extremely blessed at Claver to know that this list is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the excellent work being done by all staff. My thanks to all of you for the contribution you make towards this outstanding educational community."

This is just a small representation of our dedicated Claver staff, who work together to ensure our students not only excel academically but also grow into outstanding members of the community. Congratulation to all.
