Anzac Day 2025 Commemorated

Side by side we gathered as a College and community to commemorate Anzac Day, pay our respects and remember the sacrifices made by all servicemen and women, past and present.

On Wednesday 23 April 2025 we held our annual Anzac Day Ceremony and Assembly in Va Pasifika.

A Catafalque Party made up of six students from the Army and Air Force Cadets played an integral role. They stood guard during the Ceremony and laid a wreath at the flagpole in Claver Court in remembrance of the fallen. They did so with pride, respect and honour.

Musical tributes were performed by our College Concert Ensemble and Claver Voices Choir, conducted by Music teacher Sally Linneman Grennan. Lily Coy also performed the Last Post and Reveille on the trumpet.

Defence School Mentor Sheree Webb said the commemoration was a credit to the College and students involved.

“The respectful participation and enthusiasm of all involved reminds me that the spirit and sacrifice of the ANZACs lives on in the hearts of a new generation. I'd also like to thank the parents and students who shared their personal stories – your contributions added a deeply meaningful connection for our College community," she said.
