Records tumbled and Xavier House took home the trophy and title of 'Champions' at the 2024 Inter-House Athletics Carnival.

On Friday 7 June 2024 St Peter Claver College held its annual Inter-House Athletics Carnival at the Bill Paterson Oval in Limestone Park.

The glorious winter's day made for great competition conditions and a spectacular show of track and field prowess. So much so, six records across multiple ages and events were broken.

Along with the usual program of Athletics events, House Captains and staff competed in relays, and House spirit was shown and judged on war cry enthusiasm and best dressed House.

Acting Program Leader – Sport, Jarrod Hollands congratulated everyone who attended the Athletics Carnival.

“It was an outstanding day, brought together by the many staff and volunteers from across our school. The weather turned it on for what was one of our most successful Inter-House Athletics Carnivals to date. Thank you to our staff, students and House Leaders, and congratulations to Xavier House for taking out the win in what was an extremely close race for the Championship Cup.

“Xavier House are now back-to-back champions, having taken out the Cup in 2023 as well – well done Xavier House."

The Inter-House Cross Country will be held on the rescheduled date of Tuesday 13 August 2024 (Term 3, Week 6).

2024 Inter-House Athletics Carnival results

1^st Place: Xavier on 987 points.

2^nd Place: Chisholm on 939 points.

3^rd Place: Fisher on 935 points.

4^th Place: More on 370 points.
