Xavier House wins the 2025 Inter-House Cross Country Carnival

On Friday 21 February 2025 Claver held its annual Inter-House Cross Country Carnival and it did not disappoint.

An afternoon of House spirit and sportsmanship prevailed and saw Xavier House take out the title of 2025 Inter-House Cross Country Carnival Champions.

After being cancelled on several occasions in 2024 due to weather there was not a rain cloud or saturated street corner in sight. Despite the very warm conditions students ran, jogged and walked the track with great enthusiasm for their respective Houses.

Upon completion of the Cross Country course, students and Houses came together to participate in a competitive tug-of-war on the oval.

Acting Program Leader – Co-curricular Sport, Jarrod Hollands congratulated all on a fantastic afternoon and declared this year to be Claver's most-participated in Cross Country.

“I want to thank all of those involved in this event for their efforts across the day. Participation exceeded expectations, and every student should be commended for their excellent team spirit and camaraderie. Well done to everyone," Mr Hollands said.

The next Claver Inter-House Carnival will be our Swimming Carnival on Friday 28 March 2025.
