St Peter Claver has rapidly gained a reputation as a top class rugby league college, largely due to its efforts in recent Confraternity Carnivals and Metropolitan District Competitions. To consolidate this reputation, it is important for us to continue to challenge ourselves and participate in the best competitions we can. Throughout the past few years we have seen each Year Level join elite competitions in their respective age groups in Brisbane, and this has solidified the quality goals the College that we strive to achieve.
The Rugby League Program strives to give all students an opportunity to be involved, so we aim to have a Seconds Side in each age group, giving as many students as possible the chance to play rugby league for the College. With the right attitude and training it is possible that many of these Seconds players may show significant improvement and be selected for the Firsts team. The competition is played in the Combined Ipswich Secondary School Sport Association (CISSSA) where we compete against affiliated schools in the Ipswich district.
